Data representation means how we represent any data, here data representation is made up of two words: data + representation, here data means information or in other words fact, data is any information. Can also be in form like audio, video, pictures, gif etc. And how this data should be represented is called representation of the data. All the data in computer means audio, video, pictures, all these are stored in the form of binary. This process happening in computer is called data representation. Data is a raw fact which is of no use in its raw form. But only when we process and interpret the same data, its true meaning comes out, and which is very useful for us. Data measuring unit
Some standards are used to measure how much data can be stored in a computer. Data can be measured in different ways, that is, it is measured according to its capacity and space, for which some units are used like –
Bits
Bit means ‘Binary Digit’, it is the smallest unit of measurement. The value of a bit can be only one binary digit, whether it is 0 or 1. That is, 1 bit = binary digit (0,1), in this way the computer The number of letters you write will take up the space of a beat in the memory. A bit can have only one value. Computer understands the language of binary codes only. These binary codes are called Bit.
Bytes
It consists of 8 bits of memory i.e., 8bit = 1byte, meaning 1byte is made up of 2 nibbles. This is a standard unit of memory. That is, if we store any data, it occupies at least 1 byte of space. Bytes can store 256 states of information. Byte in computer is the next unit from bit, a ‘B’ is always called a byte. And small ‘b’ means bit.
Kilobytes
Kilobyte is made up of 1024 bytes. Kilobytes are often used to measure the size of small files. For example, a plain text document contains 10 KB of data and hence has a file size of around 10 kilobytes. This measurement is often used to describe memory capacity and disk storage.
Megabytes
Here megabytes mean 1024 KB i.e., 1024 kb together makes megabyte, MB has more capacity to store data than KB. Megabyte is often used to measure the size of large files. For example, a high-resolution JPEG image file can be one to five megabytes in size. Uncompressed raw images from a digital camera may require 10 to 50 MB of disk space. A three-minute song saved in a compressed format can be approximately three megabytes in size, whereas the capacity of most other forms of media, such as flash drives and hard drives, is usually measured in gigabytes or terabytes.
Gigabytes
This 1024 megabytes together is 1 gigabyte. The size of GB is larger than that of MB. 1 GB is equal to 1024 MB. It can store large files. If we talk about the capacity of 1 GB then 230 Mp3 Songs can be stored.
Terra byte (TB)

Exabyte (EB)
